“He played well last night but his teammates let him down, he deserve to be on the winning side”- Man United legend Rio Ferdinand praises 25-years old Gunner star who was very impressive in the shocking defeat against West Ham last night

“He played well last night but his teammates let him down, he deserve to be on the winning side”- Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand compliments Arsenal’s 25-year-old star, who was very impressive in Arsenal’s devastating defeat to West Ham last night.

Despite West Ham’s defeat, BBC analyst praised Arsenal’s 25-year-old player.

Ferdinand applauded Aaron Ramsdale for his save at the opening of the second half on a bad night for Arsenal at West Ham.

Ferdinand spoke to BBC Radio Five Live after Jarrod Bowen forced the goalkeeper into a superb save as Arsenal were eliminated from the Carabao Cup.

Aaron Ramsdale was not the reason Arsenal was eliminated from the competition. As Ben White scored an own goal, the 25-year-old was undoubtedly fouled. And he had little control over West Ham’s two second-half goals.

Aaron Ramsdale is likewise lauded by Mark Schwarzer following his save.

But there is no doubt that he did an outstanding job in denying Bowen immediately after the half. Lucas Paqueta performed an excellent job setting up the forward. And Bowen appeared to be attempting to dink the ball over his England partner.

Ramsdale, on the other hand, was able to react fast and lift his hands to claw the ball away. Ben White was on hand to ensure that Mohammed Kudus did not score.

Given that Ramsdale had lost his starting spot to David Raya, it appeared to be a momentous night for Ramsdale. And Mark Schwarzer congratulated him on what had the potential to be a significant stop.

“That was almost right from the start. West Ham performed an excellent job of winning Aaron Ramsdale’s long, high ball. And the attack turn is quite swift. Bowen has a terrific chance and makes a fantastic run off the shoulder.

Ramsdale comes out, closes the angle, stays big, and gets a fingertip touch on the ball, preventing it from going into the back of the net. “It’s a really good clearance from Ben White again in the end,” he said on BBC Radio Live Five.

“I was just watching the replay of Ramsdale’s save. It’s a fantastic save.”

Arsenal’s cup exit was especially aggravating for the goalkeeper.

Ramsdale will be especially hurt by Arsenal’s cup exit. Unfortunately, his only appearances for Arsenal in recent weeks have come in the Carabao Cup.

He could have made one of his final appearances before the new year. Raya appears to be the favorite to start every game until then, with the exception of the match against his parent club Brentford.

This is especially noteworthy given the current uncertainty about Ramsdale. TEAMtalk reported this week that Ramsdale might depart Arsenal on loan in January.

It would be surprising if he moved on during the winter. However, Ramsdale’s disappointment at not being able to compete in the Premier League or Champions League may be exacerbated by the lack of League Cup fixtures.
