“Be serious about this player and sign him up before Chelsea submit their transfer bid for him”- Arsenal legend Patrick Vierra has hinted at Mikel Arteta and Arsenal board to hijack the signing of “technically gifted” player who is already on his way to joining Chelsea

“Be serious about this player and sign him up before Chelsea submit their transfer bid for him”- Arsenal veteran Patrick Vierra has suggested that Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal board steal the signing of a “technically gifted” player on his way to Chelsea.

Vierra believes Arsenal and Tottenham should compete in the New Year for Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

This comes at a time when Chelsea is rumored to be interested in signing Brentford striker Tom Cleverley.

Ivan Toney may not have played any football this season while serving a ban for violating betting restrictions, but he remains a hot topic in the media.

The 27-year-old will be allowed to return to action in January, but will he still be playing for Brentford by the end of the next transfer window?

According to talkSPORT commentator Gabby Agbonlahor, Arsenal and Tottenham should boost their Premier League title bids by attempting to buy Toney in January.

When asked if Arsenal should try to recruit Toney in January, Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “Whoever is serious about winning the league in January, go get him.”

“But, do the Spurs go after Toney?” If Spurs arrive in January and are in a title race…

“I think whoever’s serious about this title challenge, go and get Toney.”

TEAMtalk reported this week that Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham will compete for Toney’s signature. Brentford, on the other hand, could try to raise his transfer fee to £70 million.

TEAMtalk also reported earlier this month that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has picked Brentford’s centre-forward as a player with whom he wants to work at Stamford Bridge.

His 20 Premier League goals in 33 games for Brentford last season just tells half the tale of how excellent he can be.

Toney, in our opinion, is ready to make the move to one of England’s major clubs and lead the line.

When you consider all of his attributes, he’s a complete frontman, so it’s no surprise that the major teams are keeping an eye on him.
