Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice have now been showing their support to Arsenal teammate Aaron Ramsdale after the win versus Brentford.

Ramsdale was back in the Arsenal net given David Raya was unavailable against his parent club, and he did have a shaky evening.

Understandably feeling the pressure, Ramsdale will have been very relieved to keep an important clean sheet for his side.

And following the game, Ramsdale has now taken to Instagram to send a message to Arsenal fans.

Ramsdale uploaded a picture at full-time with the caption: “A feeling I never take for granted.

“Love being part of this club. Fans were next level last night looking out for me. Thank you.”

To which, Arsenal teammates Saka and Rice were quick to reply with their support for Ramsdale, among many others.

It’s undoubtedly been a tough period for the goalkeeper who was at the top of his game not so long ago.

And not really through any fault of his own, Ramsdale is now a number two enduring uncertainty in his performances.

However, he did ultimately get the job done with the help of his teammates.

Despite his clean sheet, it does seem as if Ramsdale will return to the bench against Lens on Wednesday.

Although Mikel Arteta will protest otherwise, it’s clear that Raya is now number one at the side.

Ramsdale is now being linked with a January exit to a surprise Premier League side, but judging by his caption here, it does seem as if he’s determined to prove himself again at Arsenal.

The 25-year-old has made immense progress since signing from Sheffield United for £30m a few years ago.

And many Arsenal fans would be gutted to see a beloved player leave the side.

Ramsdale’s critics, if there are any, will point to a shaky performance lacking composure at times last night.

However, those were never characteristics in his game before he seemingly lost the confidence of his manager.

And it was clear last night that his Arsenal teammates like Saka and Rice were so happy to see Ramsdale getting another chance to show his quality.
