“If I’m the Sporting Director, I’ll be signing this guy for Arsenal by January because he’s a very complete striker”- Arsenal icon Ian Wight really wants Mikel Arteta to sign “phenomenal” 1.9M tall striker who is faster than Man City’s Jeremy Doku and better than Ivan Toney

“If I’m the Sporting Director, I’ll be signing this guy for Arsenal by January because he’s a very complete striker”- Arsenal legend Ian Wight is desperate for Mikel Arteta to sign a “phenomenal” 1.9M tall striker who is faster than Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku and better than Ivan Toney.

Arsenal are now desperate to sign a striker faster than Jeremy Doku.
There has been much speculation about Arsenal getting a new striker during the January transfer window.

The north London team is aiming to win the Premier League this season, but many believe they won’t be able to accomplish it unless they have a genuine 20-goal striker on their books.

Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins have lately been connected, but Mikel Arteta has another striker in mind as his priority target, according to Football Transfers.

According to Football Transfers, Arsenal’s top striker target heading into January is Dusan Vlahovic.

It should come as no surprise that this rumour has surfaced.

Vlahovic has been linked to Arsenal in seemingly every transfer window over the last three years.

The Gunners were interested in signing the Serbian striker in 2021 before he joined Juventus, but the striker chose to transfer to Turin rather than north London at the time.

Since then, there has been a power shift as Arsenal’s stock has risen and Juventus’ stock has continued to plummet, and Vlahovic may be enticed to join the Gunners now.

Vlahovic would be an intriguing signing for the Gunners. He’s a modern striker in the sense that, like Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez, he brilliantly blended speed, strength, and skill.

Vlahovic is physically imposing at 6ft 3, but he’s also lightning fast. In fact, The Speeds Database has him as being faster than Jeremy Doku, a player whose speed has ripped several defenses apart this season.

Whether or not this deal goes through remains to be seen, but Vlahovic is certainly a guy to keep an eye on as the January transfer window approaches.
