Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko has openly expressed his desire for the Gunners to sign two of his Ukraine international teammates, Heorhiy Sudakov and Mykola Matviyenko, to enhance their chances of clinching the Premier League title this season.
Zinchenko, who himself made a move to Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer of 2022, sees Sudakov and Matviyenko as crucial additions to the squad.
Heorhiy Sudakov, a 21-year-old midfielder currently playing for Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk, has caught Zinchenko’s eye.
In response to a query about Sudakov’s potential destination in the January transfer window, Zinchenko expressed his hope for the midfielder to join Arsenal.
Sudakov, with 12 caps for Ukraine, has already established himself as a significant talent. Comparing his playing style to that of Tottenham Hotspur and England international James Maddison, Sudakov has garnered attention from several top clubs, including Arsenal, Juventus, Manchester City, and Chelsea.
Mykola Matviyenko, a versatile 27-year-old defender who can play as a center-back or left-back, is another player Zinchenko would like to see at Arsenal.
Matviyenko has spent his entire professional club career with Shakhtar Donetsk and has represented Ukraine 61 times.
Arsenal was previously linked with Matviyenko back in January 2020, and Zinchenko’s endorsement further highlights the defender’s potential suitability for the Gunners.
While Zinchenko sees Sudakov as a valuable addition to Arsenal’s midfield, he views Matviyenko as a versatile defensive option, capable of contributing to the team’s solidity.

In other transfer news, it is reported that Crystal Palace’s Rob Holding, who departed Arsenal for Crystal Palace in the summer of 2023, could be on the move again.
Bournemouth has expressed interest in the defender, according to Football Transfers, indicating the possibility of Holding making another transfer just months after his move to Crystal Palace.
