Arsenal could resurrect move for 14-goal star in January, Arteta a long-term admirer
In the January transfer window, Arsenal is hoping to add a centre forward, and they may try to re-sign Dusan Vlahovic.
Since his time at Fiorentina, the Serbian international has been on Mikel Arteta’s radar. During the summer transfer window, he was also connected to a move to Arsenal.
According to a TuttoMercatoWeb report, the Gunners may contact the striker in January and might complete the move with a bid of about €80 million.
Gabriel Jesus is the only dependable forward for Arsenal right now. The Brazilian international might find Vlahovic to be a good partner, and he might be persuaded to sign with the Premier League team.
Despite having a strong team at their disposal, Arsenal’s attack could need more depth and quality.
Prior to joining Juventus, Vlahovic was thought to be among the best young attacking players in Europe; leaving the Italian team may enable him to regain that level of skill. Since moving to Turin, he has struggled to find his best form, and the previous season, he only scored 14 goals in all competitions.
In the upcoming months, it will be intriguing to see if Arsenal is prepared to pay top dollar for him.
After failing to win the league crown the previous season, the Gunners will be looking to do so this time around. The 23-year-old striker might give them a competitive advantage in the attacking phase and help them out in the final third.
