“I told Mikel Arteta to sign him if he wants to be better than Pep Guardiola, he’s the best English player out there”- Declan Rice has told Mikel Arteta that he won’t be happy if Arsenal did not sign ‘phenomenal’ superstar who is a leader of his team
Declan Rice is a tremendous fan of the player Arsenal is looking to sign right now.
Declan Rice looks to be a great fan of Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing in January.
When everyone is available, the Gunners have a great roster, but one area where fans believe they need a new player is up front. Many people have informed Arsenal that they need to buy a prolific goalscorer if they are to win the league, and Toney has been extensively connected with a move to the Emirates.
Here’s what Rice has said about him in the past.
What Declan Rice has said about Arsenal target Ivan Toney
Arsenal have increased their interest in buying Brentford’s Ivan Toney during the January transfer window, according to the Mirror.
The Englishman is now suspended from football after being found guilty of violating the FA’s betting rules. He won’t be able to play again until the middle of January, but he’s anticipated to become a wanted man soon after.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea are allegedly interested in signing Toney during the winter transfer window, and the Gunners may already have a fan of the striker in their team.
Toney gained his first England call-up almost exactly a year ago. Everyone was anxious to see him play, including Declan Rice, who compared him to Harry Kane.
“I think from the moment he stepped into the Premier League, he’s taken it by storm,” he told talkSPORT at the time. He is totally deserving of a call-up based on what he does for Brentford, how consistent he is, and what he does for his club.
“He’s similar to Harry Kane in that he’s not only a striker, but also a playmaker – his left and right-footed passing, the way he picks out his teammates is a special technique to have.” I’m excited to be able to play alongside him.”

Arsenal desperately needs a striker in the January transfer window.
Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, and Leandro Trossard are all excellent players, but none of them will guarantee Mikel Arteta more than 20 goals per season.
Toney accomplished this accomplishment while playing for Brentford last season, and there’s no reason he can’t do even better at a bigger club like Arsenal, where he’ll be surrounded by many better players.
It will be fascinating to observe what happens to Toney in January.
Ivan Toney s a great and talented striker who uses both legs. It will be an added advantage for Arsenal to have him
