“He has been outstanding for Arsenal this season; he is Arteta’s secret weapon; if he is injured, Arsenal is doomed.”- Man City manager Pep Guardiola lavished praise on Arsenal’s 24-year-old star, admitting that the player has pleased him this season. Not Saka, Declan Rice, or Nketiah.
Pep Guardiola claims the 24-year-old Arsenal player has pleased him this season.
Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has stated that Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is an amazing football player.
The Norwegian signed a new long-term contract with Emirates yesterday and will be staying. He has been outstanding for Arsenal over the years, and even the best manager in the world has praised him.
Here’s what Guardiola said.
In the summer of 2021, Arsenal signed Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid for just £30 million (Sky Sports).
Many questioned Mikel Arteta’s decision to sign the Norwegian ahead of other Premier League-proven players when the deal was first announced.
Odegaard, on the other hand, has proven all of his detractors wrong. He’s been fantastic for Arsenal over the last two years, and he’s only getting better.
Gary Neville recently stated that if Pep Guardiola had the option of signing one player from this Arsenal roster for his Manchester City side, he would choose Odegaard.
When asked about it yesterday, the Spaniard almost confessed it.
According to HaytersTV, he stated, “He’s an exceptional player!” Exceptional! His talent is exceptional.
“He became captain because he performs well both on and off the field, has consistency, and has played a lot of games.” He is ideal for Mikel and Arsenal’s concept. He’s an incredibly talented player!”

You must be doing something right if the best manager in the world believes you’re an exceptional player.
Martin Odegaard is a standout performer for Arsenal. The Gunners captain has been outstanding, and he has added goals to his game since the start of last season, making him far more dangerous.
The 24-year-old has now signed a new five-year contract at the Emirates, which is fantastic news for the club, especially with the North London derby coming up tomorrow.
Odegaard is virtually certain to start against Tottenham, and if he plays well, Arsenal should be able to win comfortably at home.
