Cesc Fabregas has stated that he is impressed with what Declan Rice has contributed to Arsenal.
Declan Rice carried a lot of weight on his shoulders this summer after joining from West Ham United for a club-record price.
Despite all of that, he is living up to the hype, including helping Arsenal beat Manchester City 1-0 at the Emirates on Sunday – the injured Bukayo Saka was blown away by William Saliba’s performance.
Cesc Fabregas knows what it takes to take center stage at Arsenal, and he believes Declan Rice’s passing game in the final third has ‘developed,’ according to Premier League Productions (08/10/23 @ 4:15 pm).
Nobody questioned the 24-year-old’s ability to carry the ball forward, bully players off the ball, and display defensive tenacity.
However, there were concerns about his passing due of the opposing styles of play employed by Mikel Arteta and David Moyes, but he has passed with flying colors thus far, according to Cesc Fabregas.
Declan Rice’s Passing
“Rice’s physicality allows him to cover so much of the pitch that I think sometimes, as a lone number six, you lose a big part of his capabilities, especially physically,” Fabregas stated.
“He’s grown up with the ball.” I believe he is now capable of throwing final balls. Even going to the outskirts of the area like Rodri. We’ve seen him a few times on the brink of the box, in Champions League finals, and he’s scored the goals. Rice have that ability as well.”
