Leo Messi ANNOUNCED That his £90 million international teammate now prefers to sign with Arsenal over Man City by January, making him the first Argentine to play for Arsenal if he does.

Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Manchester City are all said to be interested in Atletico Madrid defender Nahuel Molina.

The defender is a target for all three Premier League clubs, according to Ok Fichajes, and they may attempt to make a move for him at the end of the season.

Atletico Madrid has a contract with him until the summer of 2027, and the Spanish club want to extend it until the summer of 2029. There have been reports that the defender’s release clause is worth around €90 million.

Molina has been a standout performer for Atletico Madrid, appearing in 43 games in all competitions last season. The dynamic defender also contributed four goals.

The Argentine international can play as both a right back and a right winger.

Arsenal and Aston Villa, for example, could use more quality in that area.

Last season, the Gunners had to rely on Ben White as their right-back, and they may benefit from a more specialized alternative like Molina. The Argentine international would undoubtedly help them grow in the future.

Similarly, Molina would be an improvement over Matty Cash at Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Manchester City is looking for a long-term successor for Kyle Walker, and the Atletico Madrid defender fits the bill.

The chance to join a large Premier League team could be enticing for the South American defender, and it remains to be seen whether three Premier League clubs are willing to pay a premium and pay his release clause.
