“Sign this striker instead of Toney, he’s younger and more clinical than Toney”- Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke said he prefers signing ‘underrated’ English striker over Ivan Toney- Player is keen on joining the Gunners by January- Not Osimhen

“Sign this striker instead of Toney, he’s younger and more clinical than Toney”- Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has stated that he would rather buy a ‘underrated’ English striker than Ivan Toney. The player is eager to join the Gunners in January.

Arsenal is interested in recruiting another ‘underrated’ Premier League striker, in addition to Ivan Toney.
Arsenal appears to be looking for a new striker at the moment.

Ivan Toney has been extensively associated with a move to Arsenal, and Victor Osimhen has also been linked with a move to the north London club.

Chris Wheatley was speaking on ShotsTV about some of Arsenal’s January transfer ambitions, and he mentioned another striker as a possible target.

According to Wheatley, Arsenal is also interested in Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and could make a deal for him.

Arsenal’s Watkins

The journalist revealed his knowledge of the ‘underrated’ striker.

“Arsenal likes Ivan Toney, but they also like a lot of other forwards in that position; I believe Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa is one of those players.” They like him, but that’s about it for the time being. It’s one to keep an eye on in January, as Ivan Toney is expected to push for a move away from Brentford,” Wheatley added.

Is Toney better?

If Arsenal were to make a January bid for one of these strikers, it’s fair to assume that Watkins would be the safer option.

Toney is a talented player, but we have no idea what level he’ll be playing at when he returns from his suspension, whereas Watkins is on fire for Villa right now.

Of course, Aston Villa will be reluctant to transfer Watkins to Arsenal, as they aim to finish in the top four this season.

Meanwhile, Toney has made it known that he wants to leave Brentford in January, and that transfer may be lot easier for Arsenal to pull off if any of these players is pursued.
