“This guy has no limit, he’s too good and fires from every corner, he’s very smart, technical, dangerous and very explosive, he’s exactly what we want at Arsenal” – one of Arsenal’s best players Thierry Henry believes he was taken aback by the Champions League player Arsenal secretly wants to sign before January following last night’s performance–not Mbappe or Xavi Simons.
Thierry Henry was taken aback by the adolescent Arsenal wanted to sign this year.
Thierry Henry, an Arsenal icon, has praised PSG’s Warren Zaire-Emery, a player Mikel Arteta sought to sign in January of this year.
Last night, the 17-year-old started for the French champions against AC Milan in the Champions League, and he was outstanding. On CBS Sports, France U21 manager and Arsenal idol Henry was blown away and lavished accolades on him.
Last night, Paris Saint-Germain took on AC Milan in the Champions League, and the French giants prevailed 3-0.
Kylian Mbappe scored in the first half, and Randal Kolo Muani increased their lead eight minutes later. Kang-in Lee scored three late in the game to seal the victory.
Warren Zaire-Emery was the best player on the field despite not scoring. He scooped up two assists and completely dominated the game.
Thierry Henry is quite familiar with Zaire-Emery, having handled him on the France U21s team. Last night, he gushed about the 17-year-old on CBS Sports.
“The way Warren Zaire-Emery is playing, it’s just normal to run the show (for a) 17-year-old,” the famous Frenchman stated.
“At St James’ Park, he was the only one who could hold his own.” He’s been outstanding recently. The sky’s the limit. I’ve never seen such maturity in a player his age. For me, this guy has no bounds.”
Arsenal was interested in signing him this year.
Earlier this year, sources stated that Arsenal were interested in signing Warren Zaire-Emery from Paris Saint-Germain during the January transfer window.
According to RMC Sport, the Gunners were ‘especially insistent’ on signing the lad, who was still only 16 at the time.
There was no movement in the winter window, and PSG was right to persuade him to sign a new contract in the summer. His contract has been extended till the end of the 2024-25 season.
That proved to be an excellent decision, and Zaire-Emery is now on his way to become a true superstar in the coming years. It’s a shame Arsenal weren’t able to sign him.
