Arsenal will not be looking forward to face Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby, according to Son Heung-min.

The Spurs captain spoke to The Times before of Sunday’s big game at the Emirates Stadium.

Tottenham have made a strong start to the season under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs are presently second in the Premier League table, having won four of their first five games.

Arsenal has the same record, having only lost at home to Fulham before the international break.

Last season, Mikel Arteta’s men totally dominated both derbies, winning at both the Emirates and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Son Heung-min, on the other hand, believes Tottenham will be an entirely different opponent for their old rivals this time around.

Son makes an Arsenal-related assertion
Son told The Times that Arsenal will not want to meet Spurs this season.

“[Arsenal] won’t want to face us at this time,” he predicted. “Everyone is running after each other, fighting for each other.”

“If someone falls off, you give them a hand off, and everyone is happy to do it.” That makes us a very strong team.”

There is no doubt that the Spurs will present a unique challenge for the team following the arrival of Postecoglou this season.

Spurs defended well in both meetings last season, allowing Arteta’s team to entirely dominate the ball.

Tottenham’s strategy has shifted dramatically this season, and they are unlikely to adjust their attitude on Sunday.

Of course, Arsenal are far further advanced in their project under Arteta, and Postecoglou has a massive challenge ahead of him to push Spurs back to the top of the table.

However, the former Celtic manager’s term has started off well, and Sunday’s game should provide a good indicator of where Tottenham are.
