ARSENAL WILL PAY A REASONABLY HIGH PRICE TO LAND BARCELONA TARGET ARTHUR VERMEEREN.

According to Sport (page 12), Arsenal are willing to pay a significant price to get Barcelona target Arthur Vermeeren during the January transfer window.

The 18-year-old is presently one of the top young midfielders in Belgian football, and he recently shined against Barcelona in the Champions League.

VERMEEREN HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A FUTURE STAR IN THE MAKING.
The youngster has made an outstanding start to the season. In only 15 games for Antwerp in all competitions, he has one goal and five assists.

Two of those assists came in Shakhtar Donetsk’s 3-2 Champions League defeat. Aside from his goal contributions, he has also excelled at distributing.

Vermeeren has completed 92% of his passes in his two Champions League group games.

He averages three tackles and six duels per outing. Furthermore, he has only lost possession 4.5 times, which is outstanding for someone his age.

In our opinion, the Belgian has the potential to become an exceptional midfielder in the long run. He has already been labeled the ‘next Andres Iniesta’ due to his immense talent.

If Arsenal can sign him in January, it will be a huge coup for the club. Given his all-around ability, he has the potential to develop into a brilliant playmaker.
